Reports: CAW Research: Women Migrant Workers under the Chinese Social Apartheid Posted on May 23, 2007 http://www.cawinfo.org/Article329.html This report aims at identifying how the combined results of the one-party state and the capitalist reforms since the 1990’s has deeply affected women rural migrant workers, and how these women workers have responded to these changes. The reason for focusing on women workers is because they account for the overwhelming majority of the labor force in EPZs (Export Processing Zones), and as an oppressed sex are more vulnerable.
